Conduct a Good News Club in Paterson at Alexander Hamilton Academy on Wednesday afternoons. You will be serving as part of a team. You can be a part of what God is doing! Volunteers might . . . • Lead songs and help kids learn the motions. • Pray for and with the kids. • Lead discussions/activities with a small group of children. • Teach memory verses. (CEF makes it simple to do this.) • Lead games and cheer the kids on. • Sit with a child and help him/her focus on the lesson. • Review the message of salvation with a child who responds to the invitation and explain what it means to believe in Jesus. • Smile at a shy child and encourage him/her to join in the fun. • Help keep materials organized and ready for the next club. Clean up the church facility after The Kids, The Gospel & The Public School event. Clean-up begins shortly after 3:00PM when the event ends.

Saturday afternoon clean-up will include any necessary cleaning/tidying in the gym, the cafe, and the restrooms. We'll also be breaking down and putting away tables and chairs from lunch in the gym and partner displays in the gym and/or cafe.

The length of time required will be dependent on the number of volunteers and the number of people who attend the seminar.

Prepare the church facility to host The Kids, The Gospel & The Public School event.

Friday evening setup will include any necessary cleaning/tidying in the gym, the cafe, and the restrooms. We'll also be setting up tables and chairs for lunch in the gym (including tablecloths, serving tables, etc.) We'll also be setting up a few tables for CEF and partner displays in the gym and/or cafe.

The length of time required will be dependent on the number of volunteers and the number of people pre-registered for the seminar.

We're holding an all-day seminar at The Crossing Church on 9/23. We need a volunteer who will work with our local director to plan menus, order food, and lead a team to prep/serve light refreshments in the morning/afternoon and lunch for attendees.

We hope to have 100+ attendees, but there may be fewer. (We would provide estimates as we get closer to the event.)

We do not expect the kitchen team to cook the meal. (We expect to order prepared food.) If you have questions about budget, menu, and other details, please email director@cefnorthjersey.org

Move the CEF Office

9:00 AM - 1:00 PM, lunch provided

We need help moving the CEF Office out of Twyla’s basement (located near the Walmart in Boonton) to a storage facility on Riverview Drive in Totowa.  A U-Haul truck has been rented.  There are no stairs involved.  We are  looking for 4 or 5 able-bodied young men to move mostly file cabinets and boxes for about 5 hours. Lunch included in between loading and unloading.  

We have access to one large hand truck.  If you know of anyone who has another we could borrow, it would be appreciated.  

Help set-up the fellowship hall for our Good News Club Season Starter training.

Carry boxes of materials into the church.

Setup tables, chairs, screen, etc.

Neatly arrange materials for teachers to pick-up.
